Polish wedding photographer in Italy

My name is Adrianna Czesny and I have photographed weddings for 12 years. I have worked with over 300 couples, and my Italian weddings let me grow as a documentary photographer in remarkable places, from Tuscan villas to historic sites in Abruzzo.

I photograph weddings in Italy, creating reportage full of emotion, energy and genuine moments. I work with couples who dream of a wedding in Tuscany, on Lake Como or among the Italian landscapes of Puglia. No stiff posing, with a feel for the light, the place and what is really happening between the two of you.

My style combines spontaneous reportage with a feel for fashion, composition and light. I care about real emotion as much as about frames that could appear in a magazine. You don’t need any experience in front of the camera. My role is to give you the space to live your day, instead of constantly wondering how you look in the photos. Planning a wedding abroad? Write to me with the date and place, and we will sort out the rest online.

Klaudia and Sławek married here in September, I spent three days photographing Karolina and Dawid, and Marysia and Maciej had their wedding among the olive trees. More about this region: wedding in Tuscany.

Reviews from weddings in Italy

Beautiful photographs, like something out of a magazine!

Ada photographed our wedding and the pre-wedding dinner in Abruzzo in June 2026. We are very happy with her work! First of all, Ada is a lovely person, and her presence throughout the whole event never made us feel awkward.

Ada is also superbly organised and works well as a "wedding planner" too: she wrote out a detailed plan of the day and made sure everything "photo-wise" followed it, while we still had time for each other and for celebrating with our guests. She also helped organise a great make-up and hair team for me, who flew out with her.

And of course the photographs: beautiful, like something out of a magazine! Plenty of wonderful, Instagram-worthy shots, and also the right share of moving frames with family and friends. I recommend her with all my heart! ❤️

If we were choosing a photographer again, we would make the same decision.

Ada was the photographer at our wedding in Tuscany, where she spent three days with us — from the engagement session to the day-after outdoor shoot. Put simply, we could not have chosen a better person to capture moments this special to us.

Above all, she created an atmosphere we felt completely comfortable in, and the photographs exceeded our expectations. She was engaged, professional and a genuine joy to be around. We are beyond grateful for this keepsake, and we cannot recommend her enough.

We could allow ourselves the truest emotions.

Ada photographed our wedding in Tuscany and I could not have dreamed of a better person. Even though neither I nor my (now!) husband ever felt at ease in front of a camera, with Ada everything was simple and natural — we felt safe, and thanks to that we could allow ourselves the truest emotions.

The result is breathtaking photographs that move us every single time we look at them. I recommend her with all my heart.

Questions and answers

Is a wedding in Italy valid in Poland?

Yes, a civil wedding held in Italy is valid in Poland. You get the Polish marriage certificate once the Italian certificate is transcribed at any Polish civil registry office, without repeating the ceremony.

What documents do you need for a wedding in Italy?

You settle the list of documents and the rest of the paperwork with a wedding planner, who handles the whole wedding and the dealings with registry offices. I recommend leaving this to them rather than doing it on your own. Paperwork between Polish and Italian offices can be a hassle.

Can you have a church or symbolic wedding in Italy?

Yes. A church wedding needs the consent of your parish in Poland, and the papers go through the parish and the diocesan curia. A concordat wedding has extra steps, so ask your parish priest. A symbolic ceremony has no legal effect.

How much does a wedding photographer in Italy cost?

The quote is individual and depends on the number of days, the venue and travel, which I price separately for a wedding abroad. Write to me with the date and place, and after an online conversation I will prepare an offer.

When should you book a wedding photographer in Italy?

Couples usually book me between a year and four months before the wedding. Write to me with the date and place as soon as you have them, and I will check availability.

How many days is the photographer on site at a wedding in Italy?

It depends on the wedding, but I always arrive before it to get to know the place and the light. Normally I fly in the day before the wedding, for the pizza party, and start photographing there. For Karolina and Dawid in Tuscany it was three days: an engagement session, the wedding and a post-wedding shoot.

Does the photographer help organise a wedding in Italy and with the formalities?

With coordination, yes. With organising, no. Together we write out the plan of the day, and on the wedding day I make sure everything runs to it and that you still have time for each other and your guests. You arrange the venue and the formalities with the registry office and the wedding planner, and I talk to the organisers about the flow of the day. I recommend a wedding planner, mainly a Polish one, because communication is easiest.
