Karolina & Dawid three days in Tuscany
Three days in Tuscany with Karolina and Dawid: an engagement session, the wedding day and a day-after shoot.
Before the wedding, by the pool
I came to Tuscany for three days. The first belonged to the engagement session, the second to the wedding, the third to an outdoor shoot. The couple keeps the name of the villa to themselves.
On the first day the couple get used to the camera and stop thinking about it, and I get to know the place and the light before every minute starts to count. With three days and one couple I do not have to squeeze everything into one.
On the wedding day Dawid sat on a lounger by the pool, in a waistcoat and sunglasses. Karolina's shoes and veil lay on a copy of "Ville Toscane", a book about Tuscan villas.
A civil ceremony and dinner at the villa
On a wedding day I direct a couple only when it is needed. The rest of the time I watch. Karolina and Dawid had a civil ceremony with Tuscany as the backdrop, then went back to the villa where they had got ready. An aperitivo and good wishes were waiting for them there, and during the aperitivo we did a short shoot.
There was no dancing. Guests first had a four-course dinner, then sat, talked and drank Aperol or shots of limoncello.
Day three: Siena and the hills
On the third day we drove to Siena and the hills in the heart of Tuscany for the views. In Siena, Karolina and Dawid stood on the cathedral steps, and at sunset they walked hand in hand over a hill.
A few words from couples
If we were choosing a photographer again, we would make the same decision.
Ada was the photographer at our wedding in Tuscany, where she spent three days with us — from the engagement session to the day-after outdoor shoot. Put simply, we could not have chosen a better person to capture moments this special to us.
Above all, she created an atmosphere we felt completely comfortable in, and the photographs exceeded our expectations. She was engaged, professional and a genuine joy to be around. We are beyond grateful for this keepsake, and we cannot recommend her enough.
