Klaudia & Sławek a September wedding at Podere l'Aione
September in Tuscany. Sławek began the day with coffee on the terrace, then came a first look with a view of the hills. The civil ceremony took place at sunset, with a violin, followed by an aperitivo by the orange truck. Klaudia and Sławek planned everything with their wedding planner Dominika, and I did not direct any of it.
There are days that stay with you for a long time. Not only because of the frames I managed to capture, but because of the warmth of the people, their relationships, their gestures and what is invisible, yet felt the most. Klaudia and Sławek's wedding was exactly like that. Italian sun, cypress lanes, laughter, tears, music and that one, inimitable atmosphere of family closeness. It was not just a report of the day, it was a journey through emotions. And it all began... at dawn.
Morning engagement session: Tuscany in gold
At half past five in the morning, when most of the guests were still asleep, Klaudia and Sławek were already ready. They chose something special: a morning engagement session, before the beautiful word "yes" had even been spoken. Tuscany at sunrise is more than beautiful light. It is silence, freshness and the scent of the morning. Cypress lanes, mist rising over the fields and them: smiling, in love, feeling every moment.
There was lightness and freedom in these photos. They were themselves, without a script, without pressure. As if the whole world had stopped just for them.
Sławek with coffee on the terrace
While the surroundings slowly came to life, Sławek began his day with a moment of silence. No rush, no chaos. In their Tuscan cottage, with a mug of coffee in his hand, he took in the views: the green of the fields, the warm stones of the farm stay, the Italian calm.
There were no witnesses to this moment, only him, nature and a deep breath. This morning was a moment for himself, to gather his thoughts. His preparations were intimate, but full of mindfulness. Slowly putting on the suit, the last touches in the mirror and readiness, not only physical, but emotional.
This is exactly the moment when you can see everything in a man's eyes: love, certainty and excitement before meeting her.
Details by the pool
Before the ceremony began, before the bride was even ready, I focused on what creates the mood of a reportage. I love that moment when I can spend time with a place in silence, catch the light, find the details that later build the emotion of the whole story.
The sun reflected off the surface of the pool, and shadows flickered among the green of the garden. Klaudia's shoes set against the pool, the dress hanging on a rustic door, the jewellery hung on cacti: I used all of it to create unique frames. Every detail mattered, because details are what make a reportage a full, rich story.
Yellow, red and orange
While Klaudia was getting ready for the ceremony, Dominika, the wedding planner, together with a team of florists, was creating a small work of art. Against the backdrop of an idyllic Tuscan farm stay, with cottages built of large stones and wooden accents, a space took shape that delighted from the very first glance.
The decorations were energetic, full of colour and life. Shades of yellow, red and orange dominated. Bouquets of Italian flowers, natural materials, freshness and ease. Rustic met elegant. All of it blended with the warm light that fell between the leaves of the trees.
It was the perfect scene. The Tuscan landscape, the scent of flowers and the feeling that everything was going exactly as it should.
Mother, friends, first look
When the light filled the inside of the Tuscan cottage, Klaudia began her ritual of getting ready. Her mother and friends were with her, forming a circle of feminine care, laughter and support. It was a beautiful energy, full of love, trust and lightness.
A professional took care of her makeup and hair, so Klaudia could give herself to the moment. It was calm and tender, with warm glances, quiet emotion and hugs that mean more than words. The dress, airy and feminine, perfectly brought out her character.
When she was ready, she went outside. And there Sławek was waiting. The first look took place with a view of the green hills, between light and shadow. It held everything: tenderness, delight, disbelief that it was already happening.
Vows in the setting sun
The ceremony took place under the open sky, with a view of Tuscan fields stretching to the horizon. The warm, setting sun lit the place of the vows. Violin music rang out, and the air was full of emotion and focus.
Klaudia and Sławek stood facing each other, surrounded by their closest people. Their civil ceremony was real, calm, full of emotion. Vows, glances, hands that sought each other without words. Everything was sincere and very intimate. The minimal decorations harmonised with the landscape, creating a backdrop that did not overwhelm, but brought out the beauty of this moment.
Tears mixed with smiles. When the "yes" rang out and they walked through an aisle of their guests, you could feel that it was more than a formality, it was the beginning of a new chapter.
Aperitivo at the orange truck
After the ceremony, the emotions hung in the air for a long time. Everyone gathered at the Italian orange truck, which served local delicacies: aromatic cheeses, olives, little sandwiches, ripe tomatoes and, of course, refreshing Aperol.
It was a moment of ease, laughter, conversation, small toasts and spontaneous hugs. Guests with glasses in hand, surrounded by the scent of flowers and the warmth of the setting sun.
And Klaudia and Sławek? They looked at each other as if they were still alone, just the two of them. Only now as a married couple.
Golden hour in the fields
While the guests enjoyed the aperitivo, Klaudia and Sławek disappeared for a moment. I knew that this light, this moment and this emotion would not come back, so I took my couple for a short portrait session.
Naturalness, laughter, touch. Their glances full of happiness, closeness caught in motion, in a half turn, in an accidental gesture. They did not have to pose! They were simply themselves.
It was one of those moments that show that true love does not need a script.
Letters at every place
The evening came quietly, wrapping everything in the warm light of the garlands and the smell of an Italian dinner. A wooden table, candles, light wine and laughter. The intimate reception among their closest people had everything that matters most.
Each guest found a handwritten letter from Klaudia and Sławek at their place setting. Personal words, emotion, tears and a quiet "thank you": this gesture said more than hundreds of toasts. It was an evening of real emotions, without big speeches, but with an abundance of love, gratitude and family warmth.
Music? Played from the heart. Their favourite songs flowed from the speakers, and the dance floor was wherever the light fell.
It was a wedding without pressure, but with an enormous soul.
A “Just Married” cake
At the end of this special day, in the light of the lamps and with the last sounds of music in the background, Klaudia and Sławek cut their wedding cake. It was classic, white and with an elegant "Just Married" inscription, like something from a catalogue of dreams. Smiling, they fed each other, laughing and talking with their closest people.
From mist over the fields at 5:30 am to the “Just Married” cake.
